First day of the project

Today we were given our new brief:  Professional Practice. For this brief we are required to continue with the previous branding brief and develop it.

For my previous project i re branded TOPSHOP and created a new childrens range. This was created to create a larger target audience for TOPSHOP and to enable young mums to dress their children cool and trendy. I am going to design a magazine article for this project and i am going to make bags and t shirts and photograph children wearing the t shirts and holding the bags. This photoshoot will take place in parks/gardens they will be playfull images of a girl and boy.

This image is the origional logo:

I would like to edit the spacing between the letters too as i think they are a bit too close together. This is an example of the origional logo found on www.topshop.com:

I do think my logo is simular to this TOPSHOP logo but the letter I is also quite a lot thicker than the rest of my letters. I am very happy with the font tho as i think this works really well.

TOPSHOP's website and posters (advertising is very plain and simple so i am going to keep my bags plain and simple too so they look fashionable and up to date and modern. This is some examples of the TOPSHOP website:

From this image you can see how plain and sophisticated their adds are.

TOPSHOP make their website exciting and interesting, its like a burst of information and fashion all squeezed into one page.

Aswell as doing this project we have been told to create two communication chanels using our previously created logo:

For this project i am going to do a photoshoot of young girls and make a fun advertisment that isnt provocative or sleezy.
